Do-Ngoen (blue stone) dzong: Does our history tell us the truth........?

I am of not sure if it is true when I read to learn that the Do-ngoen(bule stone) dzong (fortress) was built by Nyoe Gelwa Lhanangpa in the works of Bhutan's history tellers.

More over, it is untrue to my knowledge to claim that do-ngoen dzong as the first ever dzong built in Bhutan, because as far as I know Chelkha dzong (it is in ruins) is said to be the first dzong built in Bhutan by Nyo Gyelwa Lhanangpa.

Who have the right date and justification to support the ascertain that the Do-ngoen dzong was built by Nyo-Gyelwa Lhanangpa. To be precise there should be more appropriate dates supporting one another.

Ngoe Gyelwa Lhanangpa after having spent some years in Chelkha monastery, headed back to Tibet leaving one of his disciple to take care of the monastery which later known as the Chelkha Dzong.

In This regard, to hight light a little on where about of the Chelkha Dzong, my own believe is that the Chelkha dzong is located below the Nubri village where there is a ruins of a dzong at the end edge of a mountain range standing high from the meeting point of two streams.

As for the family, it is at that time you enjoy the togetherness. When we the children could not walk . By the time when we start walking it make it tough for the parents to guide and guard for our safety, therefore if you are blessed with strong, healthy and without any defects on your body after your birth, thank your parents.

At our tender age, they don't let you go out, in fear of getting hurt as we play, and as we grow up, first time we depart if one may know is when you complete your schooling at home and have to go away for higher studies. One may not feel, but it's too cold for the parents.

 Never mind, it may be for the whole summer that time and to return on winter vacation back home. But suddenly, now you are in to a job, no way....... how terrible for your loving parents to miss you all time but how many of their children miss them?

Kangsoel

Sumthrang Kangsoel, the annual festival of Sumthrang Sumdrup Choedzong began from the evening of 25th day of 9th month of the Bhutanese calendar (21st Nov) with the Gigtred performance( driving the evil spirits away and clearing the obstacles of dharma activities). The word Kangsoel means offering (offering to appease the deities). The great saint and the linage holder of the Galwa Lhanangpa is beyond our doubt that he had left a strong tradition in the form of kangsoel, which is performed annually as a symbolic offering to Dharmapalas and his person

al deities.

14th Zhamar Rinpoche graces Sumthrang Monastery

On request to Sumthrang's Chojey Lam Jamtsho, the 14th Zhamar Rinpoche accepting the invitation to grace with a visit and bless the place and people of the locality, visited Sumthrang Monastery on August 3, corresponding the drukpa tsezhe: the day of the Lord Buddha's first sermon that falls on the 4th day of 6th month of the lunar calendar.

Finally an oldest Temple of the kingdom that remained ignored for decades without supporters gets an image lift. Thank you for the support rendered by the ministry of labour and human resourses (MoLHR). The inner and outer paintings on wooden parts are completed with support from MoLHR by choosing Sumthrang Temple for the job training. The dedicated effort of working by the students of the national institute for Zorigchusum in Tashiyangtse and Thimphu were meritorious.

Introduction of Ngoe linage: How it came into being

It is said that the reasons for study of the history of lineages is not in order to guard one's caste and birth like a Brahmin but so that one can accumulate immense merit through the reading of the lives of the great masters and be inspired by their activities.
The origin of the Nyö lineage dates back to a very long time ago in Tibet much before the spread of Buddhism there. It is said that at a time when Tibet had just been settled, one dawn on the mountain of Jomo Kharag in Tsang, people saw a handsome, young man in white descend. Possessing all the qualities of a deva, he radiated with light and had a very peaceful aspect. No one knew him or had seen him before, no one understood his language, but because of his radiant and wondrous appearance, they bore him on their shoulders and revered him as a celestial being.
The humans called him Jachung Karpo or White Garuda. This was because he was very majestic and beautiful to look upon and had flown down to earth. He was a deva from the deva realms but due to the close proximity with humans who were enthralled with him and kept him surrounded at all times, this devaputra (son of devas) became tainted by mi grib or drib of humans and couldn't return back to his deva realm. He is described as having been slightly "intoxicated" by human defilements and thus the descendants born from Ja Chung Karpo (the White Garuda of Nyö) were called Nyö. The Tibetan word smyos is derived from the original word myos. The word myos literally means intoxicated and smyos means crazy in the literal sense. Since then many members of the Nyö lineage have also been described as demonstrating crazy wisdom and many mahasiddhalike activities and have therefore added to the multi layered meaning and organ of the word Nyö (smyos) in the name of the lineage.
Nyö Jachung Karpo married the princess of rmu, Ding Mo Tsün Shö (rmu lcam ding mo btsun bshos), who was herself a wisdom dakini and their descendents were called the Nyö and the lineage was thereafter known as Palden Nyörig or the Glorious Nyö lineage.
